‘Art Saturdays’ to be Held at Ashland University

1/7/2013 ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery and Art Club will again this year be offering “Art Saturdays,” an educational and creative experience for children.

The classes for “Art Saturdays” will be held on Feb. 2 and April 20 from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 346 located in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus. The March 23 activity will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to Ashland Symphony Young People's Concert.

Registration and fee is required prior to each Art Saturdays activity. Class sizes are limited. The classes include:

February 2 –  Media Blast $5 art fee -- Young artists will explore multiple medias to create an artwork inspired by their imaginationsThis session is for children ages 6-13.

March 23 – Jazz & Matisse FREE EVENT 3-4pm -- Take a trip back in time as you listen to some catchy tunes and make fauvism your new favorite style of art. This session is open to all children.

April 20 - Painting & Surrealism - Moustache Fun $10 art fee -- We “moustache” you to join us for a journey into the strange and mysterious world of surrealism! This session is open to children ages 7-13.
