Area High School Students Participate in Accounting Career Day at Ashland University

10/28/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Approximately 50 juniors and seniors from Crestview High School, Clear Fork High School, Glen Oak High School, Hillsdale High School, Madison Comprehensive High School and New London High School attended the Accounting Career Day held at Ashland University on Friday.

The Ohio Society of CPAs and Ashland University sponsored the Accounting Career Day that was held in Ashland's Dauch College of Business and Economics.

The students attended a session on "CPAs: Accountants with an Edge" presented by Steve Martin from Columbus who is with MDS CPA Review, and also heard a number of presentations from Ashland University alumni and current students who shared their insights and experiences from the business world and discussed the variety of career choices available.

Students also participated in a "Jeopardy game" in which they answered questions to win prizes in an interactive session. The day included a campus tour and lunch with current students and alumni in the award-winning student dining hall in Myers Convocation Center.
