8/5/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Ashland University's Coburn Gallery and Art Club will again this fall offer "Art Saturdays," an educational and creative experience for children 7 to 15 years old. "Art Saturdays" will be offering classes on the following dates - Sept. 10, Oct. 15 and Nov. 19 - in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus.
The Art Saturdays classes will include:
* on Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon, an Adobe Photoshop Workshop that will be held for students ages 10-15. Students will learn about Photoshop and gain new skills in creating art on the computer. Basic computer skills are required. Cost is $10 per student and enrollment is limited to 12 students. The session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 340.
* on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon, an ART FEST that will engage students in many fun art activities inspired by the AU purple and gold. This session is for those ages 5-12 and the cost is $5 per student. The session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346.
* on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, a program titled "Adventures in Bookmaking" that will allow students to learn the basics of bookbinding and mixed media transfer techniques. The cost is $10 per student and enrollment is limited to 15 students. This session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346
