The concert is free and open to the public.

The evening's program will be selected from pieces including Mark Williams' "Fantasy on 'Yankee Doodle'" which opens with a humorous statement of the theme on solo tuba and continues with variations of one of America's most famous early songs; and Chris Donze's contemporary overture "On Highways in the Sky" depicting the majesty of migrating birds in their seasonal travel. Several holiday favorites will include, Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," one of the 10 most popular pieces of Christmas music worldwide; musical highlights from the movie soundtrack of "Home Alone 2" including "Somewhere in My Memory," "The Plaza Hotel," "My Christmas Tree," "Setting the Trap," "Christmas Star and Merry, Merry Christmas"; Alfred Reed's "Slavonic Folk Suite" with "Children's Carol" and "Cathedral Chorus"; and Warren Barker's Christmas medley "It's Christmas" featuring favorites "Jingle Bells," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Joy to the World," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Deck the Halls," "Silent Night" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Established in 1993, the AACCB has become well known in the area for its musical quality and contribution to the community. In 1995 it was recognized by WCLV FM in Cleveland as one of Ohio's finest Community Concert Bands and was the feature group on one of its radio programs. The ensemble is designed for both university students and members of the community to continue their musical study and creative activity. The Community Band rehearses one evening a week in the fall and spring semesters and performs a wide variety of literature from Broadway selections, classic marches to masterworks transcribed or written for concert band.
