10/28/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Ashland native Victoria Donati, a 1989 graduate of Ashland University and a graduate of Ashland High School, has been chosen to receive the first "Inspiration Award" from the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law.
Donati, who currently serves as the General Counsel and Secretary for Crate & Barrel, will receive her award Nov. 3 at the Second Annual Leadership Forum held in Chicago. Donati is the daughter of longtime Ashland residents Robert and Kathleen Wendling.
The criteria for the Inspiration Award are that it be given to a female attorney who serves as an inspiration to other female attorneys by:
- Demonstrating an excellence in lawyering and achievement in the nominee's legal practice.
- Believing in and understanding the importance and value of gender parity in the legal profession and consistently advocate for this belief.
- Acknowledging and encouraging the full talents, capabilities, skills and rights of women in the profession.
