10/5/15 ASHLAND, Ohio – Dr. Mike Reuschling has been appointed as the new director of the Smetzer Counseling Center located on the campus of Ashland Theological Seminary. The center provides free clinical counseling services to residents of the greater Ashland area in an effort to accomplish its mission of bringing God’s comfort to “a hurting and heavy-laden world.”
Dr. Reuschling has been a professor of counseling at the seminary for 19 years, 11 of which he spent as the director of the seminary’s Midwest counseling program. He is the co-founder and former executive director of Appleseed Community Mental Health Center and also served as the executive director of Premier Associates in Sandusky, a provider of psychological services to long-term care residents throughout Ohio. Dr. Reuschling is married to Wyndy and lives in Ashland.
