7/23/14 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University Catering and Conferences Department was awarded the silver award by the National Association of College and University Foods Services (NACUFS) for its entry in the category of catering – online menu in the annual Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards.
The award was presented at the NACUFS national conference in Baltimore, Md., earlier this month. Named for one of the founders and a past president of NACUFS, the award was established by NACUFS to honor outstanding efforts in college and university food service.
“We are very pleased to once again receive a catering award that acknowledges Ashland University’s program as one of the best in the nation,” said Jim Misel, Ashland University general manager for catering sales and marketing. “Through the years, the University has won the Horton Dining grand prize award four times while Catering and Conferences has won the grand prize award three times.”
Ashland University’s Catering and Conferences Department services approximately 1,400 events annually, serving about 90,000 meals.
