11/29/16 ASHLAND, Ohio – Just in time for the holiday season, the Ashland University Coburn Gallery will open its doors to a student-run, one-day Holiday Art Pop-Up Shop in the Coburn Gallery located in the Center for the Arts building. The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from noon to 6 p.m.
The event will allow customers to browse and purchase the artful handcrafted items created by Ashland University art students and faculty.
“We’re thrilled to host a unique and temporary pop-up experience for art lovers in our own backyard,” said Cynthia Petry, director of the Coburn Gallery. “We’ve created a space that enables our students to discover and explore entrepreneurial opportunities while encouraging students to voice their artistic identity and establish a personal brand in a maker’s world.”
According to Petry, 100 percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit student artists. Cash or checks are accepted for all purchases. For more information about the shop, contact the Coburn Gallery at 419.289.5652 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
