4/20/18 ASHLAND, Ohio – The Coburn Art Gallery on the Ashland University campus will hold a Summer Art Camp that will offer an intensive and creative one-week art session on June 11-15, 2018.
According to Cynthia Petry, director of the Coburn Gallery, students attending the camp will learn how to use many art medias and experience activities including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture. “They will develop a cultural appreciation and aesthetic awareness as they explore different art forms as well as developing their own talent for self-expression,” Petry said.
The Session 1 Art Camp is titled “Mythical Creatures and the Legends Behind Them,” and students will enter this magical world and learn about mythical creatures, and have the opportunity to create their own amazing artworks inspired by these animals.
This Art Camp is for young artists ages 8-13 and runs from 9 am to 12 noon. The camp ratio is 1:6. Summer Art Camp session fee is $75 per child and all materials are provided.
