4/11/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Ashland University's Department of Recreational Services will be hosting a new Community Adult Outdoor Ultimate Frisbee League during the summer months.
This semi-competitive outdoor ultimate Frisbee league will give community members the opportunity to play Ultimate Frisbee against other community members as well as get fit and have fun.
Community members are encouraged to form a team, or may sign up as a free agent. However, signing up as a free agent does not guarantee placement on a team roster.
The league is open for all adults of ages 17 and up. Only the first eight teams that register will be accepted and the cost for each team is $200.
The Ultimate Frisbee League runs from June 16 to Aug. 4, with a sign up deadline of June 3. Games will be played Thursday nights from 5 to 9 p.m. The league will be eight weeks of play with teams playing once a week. The season will conclude with the last week consisting of a playoff component.
The league will be held at the Ashland University's Recreational Center on the intramural field.
There will be a coaches meeting to establish rules, roster limitations, schedules, and other important information prior to the first game of play. The meeting date has not yet been determined.
Please contact Wes Bonadio, assistant director of programming for the Department of Recreational Service, at 419-289-6174 for any additional information.
