4/3/17 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University has launched a new 1 Year International Master of Business Administration program in the Cleveland market. The new program includes two international study tours and can be completed on Saturdays over a one-year period.
The program, which will be held at Ashland’s state-of-the-art Cleveland MBA Center at 6393 Oak Tree Boulevard just off Rockside Road, will begin on Aug. 26, 2017. The Cleveland program will run concurrently with a similar 1 Year International MBA program already in the Columbus market.
“We are very excited to offer this one-year program for those in the Cleveland market who want to earn their MBA quickly and travel the world on two international study tours with and an all-inclusive tuition of only $29,500,” said Dr. Elad Granot, dean of AU’s Dauch College of Business and Economics.
“We realize that life has many commitments, with full-time employment being one of the biggest. We understand, so we created a flexible program with classes taught one day a week on Saturdays that will allow students to earn an MBA in one year,” Granot said. “Students will learn the concepts on Saturday, and apply them to the real world on Monday.”
Granot said earning an MBA has many benefits and explained that a fall 2016 survey of Ashland MBA alumni revealed that Ashland MBA graduates experienced an increase in job opportunities, an average growth in salary of 46 percent, and 100 percent satisfaction with their Ashland MBA experience.
Granot added that the AU program also offers faculty with real industry experience, no GMAT requirement, ACBSP international accreditation and a low student-to-faculty ratio.
Granot explained the international study tours will allow students to travel the world with their peers and learn firsthand from business leaders. “This fall, we will be traveling to Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Students will have the opportunity to see these countries from the perspective of a tourist and a business leader. These international study tours are designed to raise awareness and increase exposure to businesses around the world,” he said.
“MBA graduates consistently say that one of the greatest benefits of earning an MBA is the valuable network they develop,” Granot said. “Ashland University hosts networking events and open houses to facilitate relationships between alumni, current students and prospective students. With thousands of fellow successful graduates all over the world, Ashland University can take your network to the next level.”
AU’s 1 Year MBA program began with its first cohort in Columbus in January of 2017. The program plans to offer rolling admission with flexible start dates at both the Cleveland and Columbus locations, allowing students to apply to the program at any time and pick a start date that is best for their schedule. Currently, the flexible start date option applies only to the program in Columbus and is May 13 for 2017. Students are strongly encouraged to apply at least two weeks prior to their preferred start date.
At Ashland University’s Dauch College of Business and Economics, students gain both practical skills and theory taught in classrooms where they receive much one-on-one attention. The Richard E. and Sandra J. Dauch College of Business and Economics building, which includes the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies wing, opened for classes in January of 2004. This 60,000-square-foot building serves as the home for business administration, economics and MBA programs and features a state-of-the-art trading room with Wall Street style workstations and wall-mounted displays with market news for AU’s student investment group, an executive education center, computer labs, tiered lecture hall and product development lab.
