8/23/12 ASHLAND, Ohio - Terry Rumker, assistant professor of finance in Ashland University’s Dauch College of Business and Economics, spent a week recently at Santa Catarina (UDESC ) State University presenting a series of lectures on the topics of U.S. economy, U.S. stock market and personal finance.
In addition, Rumker met with administrators from both UDESC and SENAC, a private university, laying the groundwork for both an undergraduate study abroad and a faculty exchange for Ashland University’s MBA faculty.
“There seems to be a lot of opportunities for our students and our faculty to study and teach in Brazil,” Rumker said. Brazil had been one of the fastest growing emerging economies globally. UDESC is located in the city of Florianopolis, which is the state capital of the southern coastal state of Santa Catarina.
