Ashland University to Hold Art Saturdays in February and April

1/15/15 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery and Art Club will hold two “Art Saturdays,” an educational and creative experience for children ages 3 to 13 years old on Feb. 21 and April 18. The events, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon on both days, will be held in Room 346 located in the Center for the Arts on the AU campus.

Registration is required prior to the Art Saturday activity and class sizes are limited.

The Feb. 21 session is titled “Wizard of ARToz.” From 9 to 10 a.m. of this session, the day will be filled with OZ activities for young artists ages 3 to 6 years old. The cost for this session is $5 per child. From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, young artists ages 7 to 13 will take a trip to OZ focusing on drawing skills and creative character development in visual storytelling. The cost is $5 per child for this session also.

The April 18 session, titled ARTPALOOZIA, will explore the many art mediums and artists. The session from 9 to 10 a.m. will involve those ages 3 to 6 years old and will cost $5 per child, while the 10 a.m. to 12 noon session will be for those ages 7 to 13 years old. The cost is $5 per child for this session also.
