1/14/14 ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland University will hold an open house to showcase its nursing and health care majors on Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 17. The event will begin at 1 p.m. in Myers Convocation Center on the AU campus.
“This event provides a comprehensive overview of the nursing and health programs available at Ashland University and allows our guests to see our facilities and interact with faculty, staff and current AU students” said W.C. Vance, director of admissions at AU. The event also includes a campus tour and hands-on learning opportunities.
Following the welcome and admissions presentation at 1 p.m. in the Convocation Center, those in attendance will take a campus tour and then attend an interactive session of their choice in either a health science major (Athletic Training, Dietetics, Exercise Science), a pre-professional program (Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Medical Technology, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Veterinary Medicine) or AU's new major in Health and Risk Communication.
An optional tour of the new Dwight Schar College of Nursing facility in Mansfield, including the simulation labs and residence halls, will begin at 3:30 p.m. for students intersted in studying nursing.
