5/14/14 ASHLAND, Ohio – Stefanie Thais Oliveira Stoops of Mansfield and Joseph K. Griffith II of Medina were honored as co-valedictorians at Ashland University’s commencement ceremony held at Jack Miller Stadium on May 10.
Stoops received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Spanish and French and minor in international business. She received summa cum laude honors. Stoops is the daughter of Scott and Denisia Stoops, and was independently home schooled from first to 12th grade before attending Ashland University.
Griffith received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in political science and history and received summa cum laude honors. Griffith was home schooled and attended the University of Akron and Moody Bible Institute before transferring to Ashland University.
Megan Frantz of Champion Township was honored as salutatorian at the commencement ceremony. Frantz, who received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in middle grades education, is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Frantz. She is a 2010 graduate of Champion High School.
