Ashland University to Offer French Film Festival

9/16/10 ASHLAND, OH -- The Ashland University Department of Foreign Languages, the French Club and Sigma Phi Iota are hosting its first Tournées French Film Festival. The festival will feature five recent feature films on five consecutive Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. from Oct. 7 to Nov. 4 in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center Auditorium.

"This event will bring an international dimension to entertainment for members of the Ashland University community as well as the surrounding community who would otherwise have to go to Cleveland or Columbus to enjoy first-rate French cinema on the big screen," said Lisa Bansen-Harp, assistant professor of foreign languages at Ashland University.

The Tournées Festival is made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
