Ashland University Online Nursing Program Ranks as One of the Best in the Country

6/28/18 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s online RN to BSN nursing program has been ranked as one of the top programs in the country by Best College Reviews.

“We are very pleased that our online RN to BSN nursing program has been ranked as the 28th best online program in the country,” said Dr. Jackie Owens, associate professor of nursing at AU’s Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences. “The ranking lists us as the top private school program in Ohio, as well as the third best public or private program behind only Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati. Our program does offer flexibility for working professionals, creating a unique experience for our non-traditional, online BSN completion students.”

The Best College Reviews ranking, which was created using the National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator database, ranks the top 50 online Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs based on the following criteria:
- Tuition
- U.S. News and World Report Recognition as a Top School for Online Bachelor's Programs
- Customization Options
- "Wow" Factor

According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, earning a BSN is now the minimum educational requirement in nursing and more employers are demanding it. The online learning model has proven popular with professional nurses, particularly those who live far from campus or need to complete the RN to BSN transition on their own schedule.
