6/22/15 ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ashland University Recreational Services Department is again providing recreation and sports programming to the surrounding areas during the 2015 summer season. Sports and activities youth camps for ages 5 to 12 run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there are four remaining camps beginning on July 6, 13, 20 and 27.
Campers will have the opportunity to participate in various sports and activities that will teach them teamwork, enhance fundamental sports skills and emphasize the importance of physical activity in living a healthy life. All camps include time each day for the indoor pool as well as the indoor climbing wall.
The camp from July 13 to 17 is titled “Adventure Week,” and will allow campers to experience new adventures every day, with each day having a different theme. Past themes have included “super safari,” “outdoor survival,” “safety first” and “space is the place.”
The Explorers Week will be held the week of July 27 to 31 and during that week campers will explore a different culture or continent, learning and playing as they go.
