5/11/15 ASHLAND, Ohio - Is your dream to become a chef? Do you love to cook? Come join Ashland University’s talented team of chefs for AU’s second annual Young Chef Camp. Learn the essential skills such as knife handling, sanitation and food handling rules as well as cooking techniques such as sauté, baking, pasta making and much more.
The camp takes place in the John C. Myers Convocation Center kitchen this summer on July 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with instruction centered on baking basics - pies, cookies and breads; and July 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with instruction centered on Italian cuisine, fresh pasta and ravioli making along with a variety of specialty pizzas.
The camp is open for students ages 8 to 15, with the cost of the camp at $35 per person per event. Be sure to sign up today as limited space is available.
