Ashland University Schedules Tour to Israel for March 2018

12/7/17 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University has scheduled an Israel Study Tour as part of its 1 Year International MBA Program. The March 1-10, 2018, Tour is being offered to AU students, veterans, alumni, friends and guests of the University.

“This is an opportunity for guests and alumni of Ashland University to join current students on this life-changing tour of the Holy Land,” said Dr. Elad Granot, dean of AU’s Dauch College of Business and Economics. “Israel is known for its resilient economic growth and there has never been a greater time to get a firsthand experience of this start-up nation.”

Granot said he will be participating in the Holy Land Tour along with AU President Dr. Carlos Campo and Terry Hofecker, executive-in-residence at the Dauch College.

The price of this study tour is $3,950 per person, which includes:

  • Airfare, hotel stay (double occupancy), and group meals
  • Guided tours of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Nazareth and more historic and religious sites
  • Cultural events such as exploring Tel Aviv’s food scene, museum tours, experiencing “floating” in the Dead Sea, baptism in the Jordan River, and more

“For those who would like to be included in all corporate visits, there will be an additional $1,000 cost,” Granot said. The corporate visits will be made to internationally known companies such as Ernst & Young, Intel, Rainbow Medical, Checkpoint, iAngels and numerous other start-ups.

Granot said a single room upgrade is available for an additional $980 for the entire stay.

Current MBA program students, veterans and eligible undergraduate seniors are required to attend all corporate visits for course credit. Please contact the MBA Program’s Office at 419-289-5214 for registration assistance and cost information.

“The MBA students and undergraduate seniors who are eligible for MBA credit will be earning course credit for MBA 568 during this 10-day study tour,” Granot explained.

Flights will depart for Israel on March 1, 2018, and arrive in Tel Aviv on the morning of March 2.  International Study Programs (ISP) will provide the ground service and has been AU’s partner in the planning of many tours, including this tour to Israel.
