Ashland University Sets ‘Art Saturdays’

1/27/12 ASHLAND, OH -- Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery and Art Club have established “Art Saturdays,” an educational and creative experience for children 7 to 15 years old. “Art Saturdays” will be offering classes on the following dates – February 25 and March 17 -- in Room 346 located in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus.

On Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon, the session will feature “The Self Portrait- Adobe Photoshop Workshop” for students ages 9-15. Students will learn about Photoshop and gain new skills in creating a self-portrait on the computer. Basic computer skills are required. The cost is $7 per student and enrollment is limited to 12 students.

On March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon, the session will feature “Cartooning with Cleveland Artist George Kocar.” Students will engage in making fun and humorous drawings and this session is for students ages 7-15. The cost is $10 per student.
