Ashland University Theatre Major Stages One-Woman Show

3/18/16 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University theatre major and creative writing minor Natalyn Baisden of Wooster, Ohio, is sealing her college career with her original one-woman show scheduled for Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the University's Studio Theatre. 

As fulfillment for her senior theatre project, Baisden has written and produced a show titled “Voice” that features herself in the lead role. In a collection of humorous and touching pieces inspired by the powerful people in her life, Baisden reveals her voice in her original one-woman show by dramatizing the most important lessons life has offered her. The show contains adult language and content.

The production team for the show includes faculty advisers Dr. Teresa Durbin-Ames, Patrick McGregor II, Jayne Waterman and Maura Grady, director Andrea Disch with Jessica Dupee as stage manager and Seth Morrison as lighting designer.

This event is free and open to the public, but tickets are limited. Interested patrons should secure their free tickets at their earliest convenience through the Ashland University box office at 419.289.5125. If the event does sell out, the box office will begin a waiting list on-site one hour prior to the performance. If seats are available when the show is ready to begin, patrons will be seated accordingly from the order of the waiting list. There is no guarantee that waiting list patrons will be seated, but many have been accommodated in the past.
