8/3/15 ASHLAND, Ohio – Dr. Scott Van Loo, who has been vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Ashland University since 2011, has been promoted to executive vice president at the University.
In this new position, Van Loo will have overall responsibility for the Student Affairs areas on campus in addition to leading the undergraduate and graduate admissions and enrollment services as well as the marketing, public relations and financial aid efforts on campus.
“Scott is a gifted administrator and has played an integral leadership role on campus since joining the University,” said AU President Dr. Carlos Campo. “In this new role, Scott will become part of the executive leadership team on campus and will play a key role in implementing the practices and programs that inform the overall direction the University.”
With this change, athletics at AU—which had reported to Student Affairs—will now report to the president.
Van Loo came to Ashland from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where he served as vice president for enrollment management. Prior to joining Southern Seminary, Van Loo served as director of admissions, associate director of admissions recruitment and associate dean of student life at Cedarville University.
Van Loo has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cedarville University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Higher Education from Wright State University and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership Higher Education from the University of Dayton.
