Ashland University's Dauch College Hosts Presentation

9/14/10 ASHLAND, OH -- The Dauch College of Business and Economics, along with the National Association of Women Business Owners, is hosting a presentation from Amanda Sage, owner of Gong Gong Communications, on "The Importance of Social Networking in Business."

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Monday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dauch College of Business and Economics Ridenour Center.

Sage has a variegated background ranging from computer hardware maintenance and networking to international development and business. She has been working in the marketing and design fields for the past four years.

She holds degrees from The Ohio State University in political science and international studies. In her years prior to starting GGC, she lived in Ghana and was working with a women's entrepreneurial group and Fair Trade cooperatives.

She is on the communications committee for the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and is the marketing and communications chair for the Young Buckeyes Alumni Club of Central Ohio. She is also a member of the Freelancer's Union.

She lives in Central Ohio with her husband, Jonathan.
