7/1/15 ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland University's Jeris Pendleton has been re-signed by the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced on Tuesday (June 30, 2015).

The veteran defensive tackle spent the last two seasons with the Colts. He missed the entire 2014 season after being placed on injured reserve last August. The 6-foot-2, 323-pound Pendleton spent time on both the practice squad and the active roster in 2013, appearing in one regular season and two playoff games.

Originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2012 draft out of Ashland University, Pendleton appeared in four games as a rookie before being released by the Jaguars in May 2013. The 31-year-old, who worked for a number of years before pursuing his dream to play football in college, spent training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2013 before joining the Colts practice squad in December of that year.
