AU Theatre Student Invited To New York For New Script Reading

3/23/15 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University Theatre’s Natalyn Baisden, a junior theatre major from Wooster, Ohio, has been invited to perform a part in the reading of “In the Event of My Death” on Monday, June 8, in New York City.

AU Theatre received the news from Padraic Lillis, artistic director of New York City's Farm Theater, which is hosting the College Collaboration Project and the reading.

Baisden has been invited to read the role of Amber in the production.

“Ashland University Theatre is thankful to The Farm Theater for being selected for the inaugural College Collaboration Project and Natalyn is excited to be invited to the finale of the collaboration,” said Scott Hudson, assistant professor of theatre at AU.

After three universities (Ashland University, Centre College and Clark University) produced the new play, Lillis and playwright Lindsay Joy decided the best way to share the script is to also celebrate the process. The cast for the reading will be comprised of actors from New York as well as members from each of the schools that produced the play.
