As the Ashland University’s women’s basketball team prepares for another NCAA Division II championship run in San Antonio, Texas, loyal fans in Ashland have a number of options for following the team. The women’s team won the regional tournament held at Ashland University and will now play in the Elite Eight. The games are March 26, March 27 and March 29. Good luck Eagles.
There will be an informal “sending off” celebration on Sunday, March 24, around 8 a.m. in the turnaround area located behind the Hawkins-Conard Student Center off King Road. The team is scheduled to leave by bus from the turnaround at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The Ashland University campus will host a watch party with live streaming of the Tuesday, March 26, game at 9;30 p.m. in the Eagles’ Nest and in the Student Center Auditorium. Both sites are located in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center. No other watch parties will be held on campus because of Easter break, which means students are off Thursday and Friday.
TV Coverage of Games
Mansfield’s WMFD-TV will provide live coverage of both semi-final games on Wednesday, March 27, and the championship game on Friday, March 29, at 8 p.m. The semi-final games are at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with the 9:30 p.m. being the Ashland University bracket. CBS Sports Network also will provide live coverage of the semi-final games and the championship game.
