1/18/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Jason Miller, a 1996 graduate of Ashland University, has returned to the Ashland University campus as the new Director of Development.
Miller, who started in this position on Jan. 11, said he is excited about being a part of Ashland University again. "I am also looking forward to getting back in the community of Ashland. It is a wonderful place to live," he said.
As director of development, Miller will be involved in the recruitment of major gifts to the University and will seek to develop long-term philanthropic relationships with alumni, parents, friends, foundations, corporations and organizations.
Miller comes to Ashland after serving as executive sales representative for Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals since January of 2007. Prior to that he served as senior sales consultant for Novartis Pharmaceuticals and as senior professional representative for UCB Pharma Inc.
Miller received a bachelor of science degree in marketing with a minor in management at Ashland University and played baseball for four years. He also completed an internship with the Detroit Pistons Basketball Company and worked with the 1996 Olympic Basketball team.
Miller and his wife, Nikki, have a 2-year-old daughter, Elleni. Miller, who is the son of longtime Ashland University employees Stan and Mary Miller, received the Ashland University Alumni Association Young Alumnus Award in 2008.
