9/15/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Openings are still available for the two remaining "Art Saturdays," an educational and creative experience for children 7 to 15 years old at Ashland University. Sponsored by the Coburn Gallery and Art Club, the classes are scheduled for Oct. 15 and Nov. 19 in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus.
The remaining Art Saturdays will include:
* on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon, an ART FEST that will engage students in many fun art activities inspired by the AU purple and gold. This session is for ages 5-12 and the cost is $5 per student. The session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346.
* on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, a program titled "Adventures in Bookmaking" that will allow students to learn the basics of bookbinding and mixed media transfer techniques. The cost is $10 per student and enrollment is limited to 15 students. This session will be held in Center for the Arts, Room 346
