11/17/10 ASHLAND, OH -- Several Ashland University student chamber ensembles will present a joint recital this Thursday, November 18, 7:30 p.m. at the University's Elizabeth Pastor Recital Hall. With direction from Dr. Thomas Reed, Kimberly Hain and Michael Metcalf, the concert is free and open to the public.
Student ensembles directed by Dr. Reed include the saxophone trio, clarinet quartet and Trio D'Anche. They will perform music by Mozart, Beethoven, Dubois, Prokofiev, Scarlatti, and McCartney. Directed by music instructor Hain, the string ensemble will perform pieces by Mozart, Bach and Warlock. Metcalf's brass quintet and trumpet ensemble will present music by Yiruma and Grainger.
