2/10/17 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University theatre major Andrea Disch of East Liverpool, Ohio, is sealing her college career with a senior theatre performance project scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the University's Studio Theatre.
As fulfillment for her senior theatre project, Disch will perform an act from Eugene O'Neill's American drama A Moon for the Misbegotten. She will portray the character of Josie while fellow theatre students Jake Riley plays Tyrone and Elizabeth Grace Davis serves as the director.
Disch’s goals for her senior project are to successfully rehearse and perform the female character in collaboration with others while crafting a truthful and believable character using Michael Lugering’s methodology from his book “The Expressive Actor” and perfecting an Irish dialect.
During her career at Ashland, she has been in many shows such as The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch), Quilters (Various), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bottom), and The Autumn Garden (Constance).
Disch’s senior project performance is free and open to the public, but tickets are limited. Interested patrons should secure their free tickets at their earliest convenience through the Ashland University box office at 419.289.5125.
