Jud Logan, head track and field coach, was featured in a Canton Repository article about the start of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials that begin June 20 in Oregon. Logan, a North Canton native, has three athletes competing for spots to represent America at the London Olympics.
Logan knows a little something about representing his country. He appeared in four Olympics in the hammer throw, qualifying for the last one when he was 40 years old.
A.G. Kruger and Ryan Loughney will look to qualify in the hammer throw. That competition begins today in Beaverton, Ore. Kurt Roberts will be in the shot put, which begins Saturday in Eugene.
