The Ashland University’s women’s basketball team advanced to the national championship game with a 66-54 victory over the Western Washington Vikings on Wednesday. This is AU's second consecutive trip to the national title game. The Eagles will play Dowling on Friday (March 29, 8 p.m. Eastern) in San Antonio, Texas. Dowling (30-3) reached the ultimate game with a 76-54 win over Augustana. The Eagles are 36-1 and 10-1 in NCAA postseason games the last two seasons.

Loyal fans of the Ashland team have a number of options for following the championship game action.
Mansfield’s WMFD-TV will provide live TV coverage of the championship game on Friday, March 29, at 8 p.m. CBS Sports Network also will provide live coverage of the semi-final games and the championship game.
The on-campus radio station -- 88.9 WRDL-FM operated by the JDM department -- will provide the live audio call of the game also. WRDL 88.9 also will be streaming on the web all games at www.wrdlfm.com, and JDM students and staff will be producing behind-the-scenes videos and interviews, as well as game highlight packages on the JDM youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/user/AshlandJDM.
WNCO-AM 1340 also will provide the audio call of all Ashland University games and this audio feed will be available on the Ashland University Athletic website at http://goashlandeagles.com.
