Orientation Weekend and Welcome Dinner Set

During Orientation Weekend (O-Weekend), Ashland University will become your home away from home. Fall classes begin on Monday, Aug. 19.

With activities and programs scheduled throughout orientation weekend, you will create friendships with your peers and become better acclimated with the campus. On Friday, Aug. 16, check in at your residence hall lobby between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to meet your RA and receive your room key and Orientation Weekend Welcome Pack. Movers and shakers from the Greek Life community will be available to help you move in.

After the move-in, we invite incoming students and parents to a casual "Welcome Dinner” on Friday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 5:50 p.m. or 6 to 6:50 p.m. in upper level of Myers Convocation Center. Each student can reserve up to three complimentary tickets; any additional guests are $10 each. Reservations for the preferred dinner time are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP is required and tickets will be available for pick-up when you check-in at your assigned hall that day. Please RSVP no later than Friday, Aug. 9. Visit www.ashland.edu/orientation for your Welcome Dinner tickets today!

At 7 p.m., say goodbye to your parents and join the residence hall staff in your respective residence hall to officially welcome you to campus and begin the Orientation Weekend activities. Students who will be commuting to campus this academic year are invited to join us Saturday morning, Aug. 17, for the President’s Welcome.
