Panhellenic Council

The purpose of the Panhellenic Council is to govern sororities in the areas of academics, philanthropy, unity, membership selection and service to the campus.

The Panhellenic Council governs the four NPC sororities on campus: Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi, Delta Zeta and Theta Phi Alpha. The most notable function of the Council is to facilitate the formal recruitment process that occurs on campus each fall semester. Other programs and activities that are presented by Panhellenic include educational forums and speakers that cover topics such as breaking down sorority stereotypes, promoting responsible behaviors to avoid high risk situations, awareness of the influence of social media and many others. The Panhellenic Council holds one all-sorority workshop each semester and also works with the Interfraternity Council to co-sponsor the all-Greek educational forums. Greek Weekend is a fun-filled eventful week that Panhellenic also co-sponsors with the Interfraternity Council.

The Panhellenic Council is comprised of women from each of the sororities represented on campus. Not only do these women hold offices to provide services to the sorority community year-round, but they also serve as Recruitment Guides (Rho Gammas) to help potential new members through the formal recruitment process.

Rho Gammas

Rho Gammas (which stands for "Recruitment Guides") are sorority women who temporarily disassociate from their sororities in order to be a resource for interested women by providing unbiased guidance and to field questions about recruitment or sorority life. Rho Gammas are split in to different color groups, as seen below.  When you register for sorority recruitment, you will be assigned to a color group to be a part of through the process.
