Dr. Glen Fincher II

Dr. Glen Fincher II

Dr. Glen Fincher II, associate professor of sport sciences, joined Ashland University in 1990. His areas of expertise include biostatistics and applied physiology, with an emphasis on physical fitness, strength training, and wellness. Dr. Fincher is faculty advisor to the Powerlifting club and a two time recipient of the Academic Mentor award. His B.S. and M.S. are from the University of Akron and his Ph.D. is from the University of Akron/Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr. Fincher is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, and an ACSM certified Health Fitness Specialist.

Dr. Rodney Michael

Dr. Rodney Michael, associate professor of physics, has been at Ashland University since 1997. He received his Ph.D. From Ohio University in Medium Energy Nuclear Physics and his bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Xavier University. He has done research in the fields of neutrino physics, nuclear and particle astrophysics, and acoustics. Dr. Michael currently serves on the board of governors for the Discovery school and takes a strong interest in gifted education

Dr. Christopher Burkett

Dr. Christopher Burkett, associate professor of political science, joined Ashland University in 2005. He teaches American political thought and institutions courses, and his fields of expertise include the American founding, American foreign policy, and political philosophy. He serves as faculty advisor to Student Senate, and was named Outstanding Male Faculty Member of the Year in 2008.

Dr. David Aune

Dr. David Aune came to Ashland University in the fall of 1996. Before Ashland, he taught part-time at a number of colleges in New England, including Providence College, Wesleyan University and Eastern Connecticut State University. Dr. Aune holds the Ph.D. in the history of religions: early Christianity from Brown University, a Th.M.
