Dr. Jason Brent Ellis

Dr. Jason Brent Ellis, Associate Professor, joined the Ashland University faculty in 2007. A native of Canada, his research focuses on technology use by students with disabilities in K-16 education, ways of leveling the digital divide through policy and pedagogical interventions, ways of providing access to under-represented and non-traditional students, the creation of sustainable models of education in emerging global economies, and scaffolding in distance education. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Windsor, his Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Bowling Green State University, his Specialist degree in Education and Human Growth and Development from Universidade Estácio de Sá in Rio de Janeiro, and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto. He has had the privilege of working in the field of education, studying, and living in Canada, Brazil, and the United States of America.
