A.G. Kruger, strength and conditioning coach, was featured in a Cleveland Plain Dealer article about him competing at the Olympic Trials on June 21. Kruger recorded a mark of 79.20 meters in the hammer throw on June 9 in a competition at the AU track and field complex. This throw ranks him seventh in the world. Kruger has already competed in two Olympic Games.
The Olympic Trials are held in Eugene, Oregon, and the hammer throw will occur at the Nike Headquarters. Now that Kruger exceeded the Olympic A Standard of 78m, his performance at this meet will determine if he is on Team USA. Kruger is one of only two USA athletes who have reached the Olympic A Standard this year.
