11/19/2019 ASHLAND, Ohio -- Ashland University is a recipient of the 2019 Institute of International Education Seal of Excellence for its significant impact in increasing the number of U.S. students studying abroad. This achievement was made possible by AU’s 1-Year International MBA Program, which includes two international study tours within the one-year program.
As one of only two Ohio schools awarded this honor, the university was recognized for its efforts to meet the goals of the Generation Study Abroad initiative and for making a significant impact on its campus. Dr. Elad Granot, Dean of the AU Dauch College of Business and Economics, has made a large impact at the university through his dedication to international travel.
“The importance of international travel in education has been a priority initiative for many years. Our unique study tours are an unparalleled experience with real-world audits of how to improve businesses, careers and the understanding of different cultures,” he said. “This Ashland University 1-Year International MBA program is a first of its kind and is only one part of my encouragement for students to experience the world outside the classroom.”
Ashland University’s 1-Year International MBA Program has made significant impact on student experiences since its inception in 2017. Students visit international headquarters, take part in cultural traditions and immerse themselves in history. Study tours have traveled to destinations such as Israel, Barcelona, Paris, Prague and Greece.
Since 2016, IIE has recognized the U.S. colleges and universities that have made strategic commitments to the Generation Study Abroad initiative and achieved their goal of increasing the number of U.S. students studying abroad from their campus before the end of the decade.
