4/11/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Ashland University's Department of Recreational Services will be hosting a Community Learn to Swim Program during the summer months. The Learn-to-Swim offers something for everybody. There are six different levels of the program including; Babies, Preschool, Level One, Level Two, Adult Beginner, and Adult Intermediate.
Ashland University Department of Recreational Services Learn-to-Swim program includes: a fun group setting, learning confidence in the water, and swimming techniques to use for exercising in the water. Plus the instructors are trained, so swimmers of all ages and abilities are in good hands.
Session I runs from June 27 to July 11 every Monday through Thursday with the exception of July 4. The times for the different levels for this program are; Water Babies 11:30-12, Preschool 12-12:30, Level 1 12:30-1:15, and Level 2 1:15-2 p.m.
Session 2 runs from July 11 to July 21 every Monday through Thursday. The times for the different levels for this program are; Water Babies and Preschool 5-5:30 p.m., and Levels 1 and 2 5:30-6:15 p.m.
The dates for the Adult Beginner Session are from June 6 to June 22, every Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The Adult Intermediate Session runs from June 7 to June 23, every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 6:45 p.m.
Sessions will be held in the Ashland University Recreational Center's Pool located on the lower level of the Rec Center. Registration fee is $40 for students, $45 for members, and $55 for non-members. The deadline for registration is either the first day of the class or until the class is full.
