11/15/2019 ASHLAND, Ohio – Incoming undergraduate freshmen who enroll at the Ashland University campus in the fall of 2020 will pay the same tuition in their first year as they will in their fourth year, thanks to a tuition freeze approved by the school’s Board of Trustees.
“Our tuition freeze is part of the Ashland University Promise,” said AU President Carlos Campo, “that pledges we will deliver a transformative educational experience to every student, while keeping tuition affordable.”
The move will lock in tuition for traditional on-campus undergraduates (including commuter students) coming to campus in the fall of 2020 and will allow new AU families the ability to plan financially for college, said Campo, who added that “the same stability in tuition also means a student’s financial aid and any renewable scholarships will retain their value over a student’s college career.”
Ninety-five percent of AU undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid.
“This initiative is one of the many ways that Ashland University continues to provide access to affordable education,” said Catherine Williams, AU’s Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management & Marketing, while continuing to offer small class sizes and professors who teach students “how to think, not what to think”.
