AU alumnus, poet Logan Fry to offer public reading Nov. 15

11/05/2019 ASHLAND, Ohio --  Poet and 2010 Ashland University alumnus Logan Fry will read selections from his book, Harpo Before the Opus, when he visits Ashland University Friday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public,  will be held in the Schar College of Education’s Ronk Lecture Hall, 340 Samaritan Ave.

Harpo Before the Opus is the winner of the 2018 Omnidawn 1st/ 2nd Book Prize, selected by Srikanth Reddy, author of Voyager.

Fry’s poetry also has appeared in publications including New American Writing, Fence, West Branch, Boston Review, Prelude, Denver Quarterly and the Best American Experimental Writing anthology.

A previous Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship finalist and a recipient of the James A. Michener Fellowship, Fry and his wife, Caroline, live in Austin, where he edits Flag + Void and teaches writing at Texas State University.
