9/11/18 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University has postponed and will reschedule its Faith and Society Lecture featuring Dr. Mark Yarhouse, a psychologist from Regent University. The event was set for Thursday, Sept. 13, in Hugo Young Theatre.
“We are postponing Dr. Mark Yarhouse’s appearance and lecture due to hurricane Florence,” said Dr. Mark Hamilton, AU associate professor of philosophy and organizer of the event. “Mark lives in Virginia Beach and does not want to be away from his family when the hurricane hits or get caught stranded away from his family -- so we will be rescheduling the event.”
Yarhouse was to speak on the topic of “Listening to Sexual Minorities: A Study of Faith and Sexuality on Christian College Campuses.” Yarhouse is the Hughes Endowed chair and professor of Psychology at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va., where he is a core faculty member in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology.
