8/20/19 ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University Theatre will host a community youth casting call on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. in Hugo Young Theatre. Two children are needed for the cast of “An Enemy of the People,” Arthur Miller's adaptation of a play by Henrik Ibsen.
The youth roles are written for two boys, brothers ages 9-10 and 12-13, but girls also will be considered for either role. The roles have lines and are on stage for about a third of the play. Public performance dates are Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 13 at 2 p.m., along with a school matinee performance on Friday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m.
No preparation is needed for the audition. Instead, children will play some theatre games and read from the script at the audition.
