2/12/19 ASHLAND, OH— This Friday, February 15 marks the last of Unified Basketball games of the season. The Unified Basketball League is a special program put on in conjunction with the Special Olympics of Ohio. Each team is comprised of Ashland University students and Special Olympics athletes, and the teams play against other teams of similar composition.
The league’s final day of competition will take place on Friday, February 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Ashland University Recreational Center. At 6 p.m. the third-place game will take place, followed by the Championship game at 7 p.m. At the conclusion of the games, there will be a brief pizza party and awards ceremony at the AU Recreational Center to celebrate the accomplishments of the players. This event is open to the public.
