3/23/18 ASHLAND, Ohio – Makayla Palm, an Ashland University junior majoring in accounting, was named The J.M. Smucker Co. Scholarship award winner for the academic year 2017-2018 at AU’s Student Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Meeting. Palm, a resident of Millersburg, is a 2016 graduate of West Holmes High School.
The $2,500 scholarship was presented to Palm by Joyce Badertscher, lead analyst, Supply Chain Finance, for The J.M. Smucker Co.
The J.M. Smucker Co. scholarship of $2,500 is awarded annually to a returning junior or senior Ashland University accounting or finance major with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference is given to those qualified students who have successfully completed an internship in the industry and are members of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) student chapter, Eagle Investment Group, or other student organizations at Ashland. The scholarship is above and beyond AU financial aid.
