03/05/2020 ASHLAND, Ohio – Tayler McPherran, an Ashland University senior majoring in accounting, was named The J.M. Smucker Co. Scholarship award winner for the academic year 2019-2020 at the recent AU Student Institute of Management Accountants meeting.

McPherran, a resident of Ashland, is a 2017 graduate of Ashland High School. The $2,500 scholarship was presented to McPherran by Joyce Carpenter, J.M. Smucker manager of coffee finance. McPherran will graduate in December.

The J.M. Smucker Co. scholarship of $2,500 is awarded annually to a returning junior or senior Ashland University accounting or finance major with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference is given to those qualified students who have successfully completed an internship in the industry and are members of the Institute of Management Accountants student chapter, Eagle Investment Group, or other student organizations at Ashland. The scholarship is above and beyond AU financial aid.
