3/15/16Roger Beckett, executive director of the Ashbrook Center at AU, was featured on WOIO-TV 19 in Cleveland, on the morning of the Primary Election in Ohio. Beckett was asked about this thoughts regarding the primary election.



3/14/16David Tucker, senior fellow at the Ashbrook Center and associate director of the Master of Arts in American History and Government program, had an op-ed article, titled "Rule of Law is opposite of fascism," picked up by a syndicated news source this week. The first pickup was the Courier-Post in New Jersey (part of the USA Today network), while additional pickups have already occurred in the Burlington (VT) Free Press and the Vineland (NJ) Daily Journal with several more likely to occur over the next week.

3/04/16Dr. Amy Klinger, associate professor of educational administration at AU, was featured in a number of media, including the Washington Post and NBC TV 4 in Washington D.C. A school safety expert, Klinger just released research that shows a dramatic increase in school-based bomb threat incidents both over the last few years and specifically during the 2015-16 academic year.

“While incidents have been gradually increasing since 2012, so far this school year U.S. schools have experienced 745 bomb threats, an increase of 143 percent compared to that same time period in 2012-2013,” Klinger said. “While this report focuses on United States schools, our data indicates that this is an international phenomena as well, with school-related bomb incidents occurring at an increased rate in virtually every continent in more than 17 different countries this school year alone.”

3/01/16Roger Beckett, executive director of the Ashbrook Center at AU, was quoted in an article published by The News & Observer, based in Raleigh, N.C. Becket was quoted in an article titled "GOP groups race to stop Trump -- before he can clinch."



The article is titled "Another reason for our bombastic election? A decline in civics education." 

2/28/ published a feature story on AU senior women's basketball player McKenzie Miller. The story, titled "Miller enjoying final season on highly ranked Ashland," talks about how the Lady Eagles are making another national championship run after winning an NCAA Division II championship during Miller's freshman season.


2/08/16AU Head Football Coach Lee Owens was featured in an article titled, "Ashland's Owens says money is major issue facing college football" that appeared in the Canton Repository and the Massillon Independent. Owens' comments were made as he spoke to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club on Feb. 8. 



2/05/16Roger Beckett, executive director of the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University, was quoted in an article titled "Donald Trump vs. Ted Cruz is a fight for conservatism's future." The article was written by a writer with the McClatchy Washington Bureau and was picked up by various media, including the Tyler Morning Telegraph in Texas.
