WMFD-TV in Mansfield covered Ashland University's annual Nursing and Health Professions Open House

Mark Johnson, chief meteorologist for WEWS-TV 5 in Cleveland, featured a photo from Ashland University in his Mark's Weather Pic of the Day competition. The photo, showing a large snowman on the lawn in front of Founders Hall, was submitted by AU student Maddy McQuiston. Awesome job Maddy.
WTOL TV, the CBS affiliate out of Toledo, Ohio, carried a story about how the Lake Local School system is working with Dr. Amy Klinger, a School Safety and Security expert.
The Ashbrook Center at Ashland University was highlighted on a CSPAN3 show on Jan. 11. The segment mentioned the founding of the center, the dedication of the center by President Reagan and a number of speakers who attended the center's annual dinners.
On the Sunday night (Nov. 2) edition of ESPN SportsCenter's nightly Top 10 Plays segment, Eagles senior wide receiver Dan Piko's one-handed catch from redshirt freshman quarterback Travis Tarnowski was ranked third. The catch came during the 37-14 win Saturday (Nov. 1) night at Grand Valley State.
WBNS-TV Channel 10 out of Columbus ran a segment on the Ashland University students who are working with Dr Nigel Brush, associate professor of geology, as part of a mastodon excavation in Morrow County. Brush said bits of bone and tusk fragments were found at that location last year and that 10 AU students were assisting with the excavation of the site this fall.
The Mansfield TV station, WMFD, did a news segment on AU's home -- Ashland, Ohio -- being ranked as the eighth most affordable college town in the United States by Great Value Colleges website. The news segment included interviews with several AU students as well as an AU administrator.
WJW Fox 8 News in Cleveland did a segment on Ashland University alumnus Kevin Gibson who lost his wallet more than 20 years ago at Brookside Golf Course in Ashland. The wallet was found by a maintenance crew member at the golf course and, through Facebook, Gibson was contacted. Unbelievably, only six hours after the original post, Gibson contacted the golf course to claim the lost items.
WMFD-TV in Mansfield featured a segment on AU's hosting of a presentation for those who were interested in learning more about career opportunities in the U.S. Foreign Service.
An Associated Press story about the opening of the newest inmate reintegration center noted that inmates at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution are eligible for the program that will include taking classes through Ashland University. The article was picked up by many newspapers and TV stations throughout Ohio.
